Resumen
El presente estudio evalúa los efectos de las nanopartículas de plata sobre Capsicum annuum, una planta de alta importancia económica y cultural en México. El objetivo fue determinar el impacto de estas nanopartículas en el estrés oxidativo, producción de metabolitos y capacidades antioxidantes de las plantas. Se aplicaron tres concentraciones de nanopartículas (10, 50 y 100 ppm) a cultivos de chile durante dos periodos de recolección (1 y 2 meses), analizándose tejidos mediante espectroscopía de fluorescencia de rayos X y ensayos bioquímicos (FRAP, DPPH, ABTS, polifenoles, flavonoides y taninos). Los resultados mostraron que las nanopartículas influyen en la absorción de elementos esenciales como calcio y magnesio, además de inducir cambios en la producción de metabolitos primarios y secundarios. En etapas tempranas, se observaron reducciones significativas de polifenoles, mientras que flavonoides y taninos aumentaron con el tiempo. La actividad antioxidante y de enzimas peroxidasa presentó variaciones asociadas a las concentraciones de nanopartículas, indicando un periodo de adaptación metabólica. Estos hallazgos destacan la necesidad de estudios extensivos sobre las respuestas adaptativas de las plantas a largo plazo.
