Resumen

Los vehículos de administración de fármacos mejoran la vida útil, la solubilidad y la dosificación. En particular, permiten la administración de fármacos a sitios localizados a una velocidad controlada o sostenida. Los hidróxidos dobles laminares son partículas inorgánicas que se han propuesto como vehículos para múltiples fármacos en las últimas dos décadas. Sin embargo, el potencial de la estructura de estas partículas no se ha aprovechado plenamente, ya que su composición y estructura química pueden manipularse para añadir funcionalidades más integradas en una única partícula de tamaño nanométrico y obtener materiales teranósticos. En este trabajo, proponemos algunas rutas para obtener partículas de hidróxidos dobles laminares modificados con lantánidos, y mostraremos los perfiles de fluorescencia en la región visible obtenidos por espectroscopia de fotoluminiscencia. En particular, demostramos que la emisión puede detectarse en microscopios comerciales, ya sea como partículas puras o incluso cargadas con un agente terapéutico. Los resultados demuestran que las partículas de hidróxidos dobles laminares son plataformas alternativas para el desarrollo de sistemas terapéuticos y de diagnóstico en dimensiones nanométricas.
